King of Phantoms Guide — Halloween 7-Day Event and the SvS Prep Overlap (Ton)
Halloween's 7-day All-of-Chief event. Day 7 (Mon) overlaps SvS prep for double speedup points; 40M name card strategy; training day by FC/tier; 8M T11 research timing; beast candy cap 4,000.
The Halloween season's 7-day "All of Chief"-style event. Same structure as September's Moon Chief, but this time Day 7 (Mon 11/02) overlaps SvS prep — speedups, construction and research score twice. The target is 40M points = Permanent Name Card (a top-25 cut on your state may be lower, so check your state's cut first). Training day: FC8 and below = Day 4 (Fri), FC10 = Day 1 & 6 (Tue · Sun). One T11 research = 8M power = 20% of the name card — finish it on a power day (Tue/Sun). Day 2 beasts: candy cap cut from 7,000 to 4,000, and most of your points must be in by Fri–Sat. Mithril, charms, sigils and pets score nothing. The gems you saved during Moon Chief are for now.
Overview
Structurally it is the All of Chief family — the scored categories rotate daily. Being a seasonal event, only the "skeleton" categories score. Ranking currency: Hunter Points.
Does not score: Mithril · Chief Charms · Sigils · Pets · Books of Knowledge
Scores: Power (construction · research · troops) · Speedups (expert speedups included) · Hero shards · Keys · Polar terrors / beasts · Essence stones & widgets · Gathering · Gems · Chief gear
Permanent Name Card — official Sneak Peek: reaching the target points guarantees a permanent name card; ranks 1–25 keep their ranking rewards. The 40M target comes from the pre-patch-note dev Q&A and was confirmed by data miners (Ton). Ton rates it the most valuable cosmetic of this season.
Other Halloween cosmetics: nameplate · march skin (well liked) · avatar frame. The city skin does not come from King of Phantoms.

Items that score in both events
| Day | Overlap | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Day 1 Tue | Hero shards (Armament 1) · fire crystals · troop power (Alliance Mobilization) | You could close Armament with Justus/expert shards the day before, but finishing it with hero shards on Day 1 scores both |
| Day 2 Wed | Beasts · polar terrors (Defeat Nearby Beasts + Alliance Mobilization) | Officer Project 1's charms and promote>train are also dark green, but Ton only does them "if you want to win Officer Project" — keep them for SvS prep |
| Day 3 Thu | Hero shards · keys (Alliance Mobilization) · speedups (weak) | Shards are better on Day 1 (triple with Armament) |
| Day 4 Fri | Train / promote troops (Alliance Mobilization troop power) | Best day for FC8 and below. No overlap with Armament 2 |
| Day 5 Sat | Gems (Alliance Mobilization gem mission + 3M-gem pet stone task) · essence & widgets (Armament 2 + last day of Alliance Mobilization) | Everyone wants the 50k gem mission — expect not to get it |
| Day 6 Sun | Gathering + natural training | Nothing overlaps Officer Project 2 |
| Day 7 Mon | Speedups (SvS prep) · chief gear (Officer Project 2 + SvS prep) | Ideal if you can stack construction/research state buffs on Monday |
3. Minimum-effort completion route Ton's Discord summary
Or complete with training alone ("a few T11/T12 batches finish Day 1 without keys"). If your state dumps keys on Day 1, use all keys on Day 3
Candy cap 4,000. Ton auto-hunts ~2,500 then switches to polars
Best day for FC8 and below
3M gems via the pet stone task → VIP. Last day of Alliance Mobilization
Playing normally auto-completes it
Overlaps SvS prep / Officer Project 2
Filling gaps: train/promote → essence stones → a little speedup last. Gems only score on Day 5.
4. Pushing for the 40M name card
Pick the target first
- Top states → 40M is the target. Outside the top 25 still gets the card once you pass it
- States that don't reach 40M → top 25 in your state is enough. The cut might be 20M or 15M → check last round's distribution
- Timing: have most points in by Fri–Sat. Sun–Mon only offer gathering, speedups and chief gear
How the point sources behave
- Essence stones, gems, hero shards and keys give the same points to everyone
- Troop training scales with tier and FC — T12/FC10 reaches 40M on training alone, T10/FC1 struggles badly
- One T11 research = 8M = 20% of 40M. On a 25M-cut state that's a third by itself
Investment order
- Train on the right day — section 5. If your state turns on the training buff on Day 1 (Tue), the cooldown returns next Thursday, and that day becomes the best for almost everyone except FC1–7
- Land T11 research on a power day (section 6)
- Polar terrors (Day 2)
- Essence stones & gems (Day 5, last day of Alliance Mobilization)
- Chief gear (Day 7, Officer Project 2)
5. Choosing the training day per FC and tier — Seasonal Troop Training tab
Day 1 (Tue) · Day 6 (Sun) = power scoring (one troop's power = points) · Day 4 (Fri) = count scoring (fixed points per troop, FC-independent)
Day 4 fixed points (any FC)
| Tier | T7 | T8 | T9 | T10 | T11 | T12 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Points per troop | 50 | 68 | 90 | 118 | 140 | 170 |
Day 1 / Day 6 power per troop
| FC | T7 | T8 | T9 | T10 | T11 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| FC0 | 28 | 38 | 50 | 66 | — |
| FC1 | 30 | 41 | 54 | 71 | — |
| FC2 | 32 | 44 | 58 | 76 | — |
| FC3 | 34 | 47 | 62 | 83 | — |
| FC4 | 37 | 51 | 67 | 88 | — |
| FC5 | 40 | 54 | 72 | 94 | 114 |
| FC6 | 43 | 57 | 77 | 99 | 120 |
| FC7 | 46 | 60 | 82 | 104 | 126 |
| FC8 | 49 | 63 | 87 | 110 | 135 |
| FC9 | 51 | 66 | 91 | 115 | 141 |
| FC10 | 54 | 69 | 95 | 121 | 148 |
T12 = 178 (FC10) — the figure Ton points at in the video: Day 4 170 vs Day 1/6 178.
Verdict — best training day by main tier
| Main tier | FC8 and below | FC9 | FC10 |
|---|---|---|---|
| T10 | Day 4 (Fri) 118 vs 110 | Day 4 118 vs 115 (+3) | Day 1/6 (Tue·Sun) 121 vs 118 |
| T11 | Day 4 (Fri) 140 vs 135 | Tie 141 vs 140 (+1) | Day 1/6 (Tue·Sun) 148 vs 140 (+5.7%) |
| T12 | — | — | Day 1/6 (Tue·Sun) 178 vs 170 (+4.7%) |
Rules of thumb · what if the state buff is on another day?
- FC0–FC8 → always Day 4 (Fri). Nothing to think about
- FC9 → the one bracket that needs thought. T11 favours Day 1/6 by one point, T10 favours Day 4 by three. If you can't be bothered, Day 4
- FC10 → Day 1 (Tue) or Day 6 (Sun). Whichever suits you
- The real answer is points + state buff + titles + overlaps. But at FC5–6 and below, training on Day 1/6 is probably still a loss even on a buff day — a ~30/120 ≈ 25% point loss per troop is hard to recover with a 50% additive training-speed buff (Ton's estimate). Break-even ≈ FC4–5
- If the state turns on the training buff this Tuesday (Day 1), the cooldown is back next Thursday — usable on the SvS-prep training day too
6. The 8M-power T11 research timing trick
One T11 research ≈ 8M power = 8M points. The single largest chunk of points this week.
| Situation (watching on Monday) | What to do |
|---|---|
| 7+ days remaining | Plan to finish on Day 6 (Sun). Around Day 3 (Thu), speed it down to about 96 hours (safety margin), then finish with speedups on Sunday |
| e.g. 6.5 days — can't stretch to Sunday | Finish it on Day 1 (Tue) with speedups. Tuesday power points |
| 5 days or less | Finish on Day 1, and take the Alliance Mobilization research-speedup task for a little Armament credit too |
Don't aim for exactly 72 hours — every round someone miscalculates and spills 8M power onto a non-scoring day. Ton himself only uses research speedups to land T11 on Sunday.
7. Day notes beasts 4,000 · gems · Alliance Mobilization changes
Day 2 — beast candy cap 7,000 → 4,000
The Sneak Peek's "4,000 beast" means a 4,000-candy cap in Pumpkin Invasion. That's 3,000 fewer for F2P than the old 7,000. 7,000 took a lot of stamina cans; 5,000–6,000 was the realistic F2P line.
Whether 4,000 means "same rate, done sooner" or "lower drops, same cans" must be checked on Day 1. Ton's plan: auto-hunt beasts to ~2,500 → polar terrors for the rest. Polars give slightly more seasonal points per stamina (identical in SvS prep).
Day 5 (Sat) — 3M gems + essence stones
- 3M gems via the pet stone task → fine to funnel into VIP points
- Last day of Alliance Mobilization — everyone takes the gem missions, so expect to miss the 50k one
- Essence stones score in every event → good for an Armament ranking too. Whether to burn essence right before SvS is a state decision (SvS-focused states hold)
Alliance Mobilization changes (Ton's comments)
- Chief gear, charm, fire crystal and essence tasks are now split into small steps — no more burning 150 essence stones in one go
- Fire crystal tasks accept regular, shards and refined (research/buildings) — welcome for late-game players who only use refined
- The new siege-shield and fire-crystal missions seem mostly exclusive (personal) missions
- Ton still makes most of his points from troops; pack tasks in weeks he buys packs
8. Day 7 (Mon) — using the SvS prep overlap
The key point of the week
- Speedup points count for both SvS prep and King of Phantoms. Consider running both the construction and research state buffs on Monday — something you normally wouldn't — but not possible if they were already used this week, so plan now. Ton's state runs research only (mostly T12 research)
- Why it matters: spending speedups and gems drops Sugar Storm candy → pumpkin smashing returns speedups, essence stones and gems → more resources to spend on SvS prep
- Officer Project 2 (Mon) is chief gear too, so Day 7 chief gear scores twice. Completing Day 7 on chief gear alone needs 2–4 upgrades for F2P and is hard — on a buff day it becomes worth finishing with speedups (normally not recommended)
- Chief gear options: ① now (Officer Project 2 + King of Phantoms) ② save for the late-November Thanksgiving season ③ save for SvS battle points. A choice you don't usually get
9. Sugar Storm candy conversion · pumpkin-smash notes values from previous pumpkin-smash rounds · to confirm on Day 1
| Input | Candy |
|---|---|
| 2 hours of speedups | ≈ 10 |
| 1,000 gems | ≈ 10 |
- Cooking-type events use ingredients and have different values; this round is a punching/smash type
- Smash tip: spam from 12,000+, ideally 15,000–16,000+ for much better luck (tentative)
- A calculator for the skin should appear on Torxim (torxim.com)
- Gems score only on Day 5 in King of Phantoms, but candy drops every day you spend gems/speedups → stacking "King of Phantoms points + candy refund" on the same day is the week's basic mindset
- Ton's Discord has copy-paste alliance summaries (short version for translation) and a 7-day summary image
