Wild Brawl Guide — Mode Choice, AFK Mission Route & Shop Value
Complete guide to Wild Brawl, the 10-player FFA battle royale: Cross-Gen vs Same-Gen choice, hitting 25,000 points in 2-3 matches then going AFK, strong/weak player playbooks, and shop value math (Refined Fire Crystal at 1.8x lab cost).
One-line verdict — Just clear the missions: play 6 matches + use 15 airdropped items + earn 25,000 points (usually done in 2-3 matches → the remaining matches can be AFK). Zero troop losses means zero stress. The shop gives only ~15,000 badges, so this is an event where you buy exactly one bottleneck resource.
Event Overview
A 10-minute battle royale where 10 Chiefs fight free-for-all (FFA) on one battlefield. 4 matchmaking windows per day (2 hours each) × 2 days, 6 matches per season.
Requirements: Furnace Lv.25+, after Gen 3 heroes have arrived on your server. Unlimited infirmary · healing costs no resources · all troops auto-heal when you leave the battlefield — nothing feeds your real infirmary.
President and Emperor titles, Alliance Territory buffs and the like are disabled, so it's a pure-spec fight. There is a ranking screen but no ranking rewards — a rare F2P-friendly event.
⚔️ Mode Choice Same-Gen vs Cross-Gen
| Your situation | Recommended mode | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Older state · strong account | Cross-Gen | With 4,000+ states in the game, most Cross-Gen opponents come from newer states — it's actually easier (Ton finished 1st-2nd almost every match) |
| Newer state (state ~3000+) | Same-Gen | Facing higher-gen heroes in Cross-Gen is brutal — even with a spec advantage, Ton found Gen 9 vs Gen 13 hero matchups very rough |
| Not sure | Test both | There are no troop losses, so try both modes yourself and keep whichever feels better |
🗺️ Battlefield & Points Priority: Citadel+turrets > Citadel > turrets > gathering
| Point source | Details | Weight |
|---|---|---|
| Dawn Citadel (center, ×1) | 10-second capture → points per second while held. The main hotspot | ⭐⭐⭐ |
| Boulder Fortress (×3) | Lower than the Citadel but steady. Weaker players start here | ⭐⭐ |
| Supply gathering | 3 trucks drop crates every minute → gather for points. The third path for weaker players — gathering alone earns 6,000-10,000 points per match | ⭐⭐ |
| Airdrop pickup | Dropped at the center every 2 minutes · only 1 march can be sent · item + small points. Distance barely matters | ⭐ |
Match timeline: 30s prep → 0:30 combat starts → 1:00 first supply trucks (then every minute) → 2:00 first airdrop (then every 2 minutes) → 10:00 match ends.
📦 Airdropped Items Unlimited pickups · missions need 15 used → use them the moment you grab them
| Item | Effect | Usage |
|---|---|---|
| Wrecker Rocket | Severely wounds 30,000 troops in an enemy city/garrisoned building | Stockpile, then volley them at the #1 player → weaken the garrison and steal the building |
| Frost Bomb | Enemy city cannot deploy marches (temporary) | Use right before attacking → blocks reinforcements |
| Battlefield First Aid Kit | Heals 30% of severely wounded (up to 500k) | Wait until wounded have accumulated for full value |
| Smoke Bomb | City invisible for 120s (cannot be selected/attacked) | Emergency escape. Teleport-then-ambush is possible in theory, but Ton "never found a really good use" |
You can still teleport while smoked (deploying a march breaks invisibility) and after being Frost-Bombed. Teleports and speedups are handed out for free constantly — never spend your own items.
🎮 Playbook From Ton's live match
Check nearby Chiefs' FC furnace tier — Ton attacked an FC6 target and skipped an FC10. Only contest buildings you can win.
Best march on the Citadel, ratio marches on turrets. No threats? AFK for 10 minutes — per-second points stack on their own. Send fresh marches to reinforce and refresh worn garrisons.
Camp the gathering spots for 6-10k points. Save rockets to harass the leader, and grab empty turrets while the strong fight over the Citadel.
No losses, so test ratios every match — feel for yourself how 60/40 or 48/4/48 beats a flat 33/33/33.
⚠️ Warnings
· Fully leaving the battlefield means no re-entry that match — don't confuse it with temporarily returning to your city · Not pressing Ready after matching triggers a matchmaking ban penalty (cancelling is penalty-free)
· City burn speed is greatly increased on the battlefield — an undefended, unextinguished city gets teleported to a random spot, wrecking your position. Keep one defense march home

🛒 Shop & Buy Priority ~15,000 badges — you can't buy everything, so choose
| Item | Verdict | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Refined Fire Crystal | #1 if still progressing | Shop rate ≈ 25 FC each vs Crystal Lab average 13.8 FC (20 FC → expected 1.45: 65%/25%/10%) — ~1.8x pricier, yet still first pick if FC buildings/promotions are your bottleneck |
| Fire Crystal / Shards | #2 | General-purpose. Go here if Refined isn't urgent |
| Lucky Hero Gear Chest | Ton's pick | Limit 1. Best for players bottlenecked on hero gear |
| Hero XP Components | Low priority | Available from plenty of other sources |
Some items only appear once your server reaches the Fire Crystal Age. Bottom line: dump all badges into your single biggest bottleneck.
📅 Scheduling Tip
If something big like Frost Dragon Tyrant lands tomorrow, cram all 6 matches into day 1. Fill the 25k points + 15 items first, then AFK the rest — stepping back also makes it easier for the other 9 players to score.
